An Update (for Pam)
A month of the new year has passed and along with that a lot has happened. When Ter and I returned from Regina, I went back to work. I have been working some overtime babysitting, which has been nice (I need the money!). I submitted all of my applications for speech-pathology and now the waiting game begins. I am actually really anxious about hearing back. I will be so dissapointed if I do not get in. But at the same time, I can work at this job another year! However, I would then have to become a BC resident, which I don't want to do - I love being a Saskatchewanian!
After my applications were submitted, i started a distance education class - Human Physiology. It has turned out to fairly hard - in both course material and maintaining motivation. The book is sitting in front of me right now! :) I also went to Courtenay, BC this month. It is on Vancouver island and is a beautiful place. I really enjoyed the scenery. Here is a picture of the glacier and mount washington - best for sking!

On this trip, I also got to go on the ferry, which was wonderful. It was foggy both days, but it was still fairly neat! Having two little children to chase around the boat wasn't all that fun though!
Then it was my birthday - the big 23! I had a great day. In the morning I had my nails done - both feet and hands. Pedicures are amazing and I recommend them to everyone. So relaxing!!!Then I had the afternoon off and I lazed around - talked to family on the phone! Then Ter and I went to Leanne and Harold's (my employers) for supper and had this amazing chicked thai peanut supper, wine, and an amazing chocolate kahlua cake! And.. Ter has eating ALL of the leftovers of the cake!! Then after supper, we came home and I was soo surprised. Ter had ordered a fancy cake from a bakery and Rebecca and Micah (friends from Law school) came over holding it as a surpise. I was kinda upset that I didn't get to see any friends over my birthday, but it was wonderful that they surprised me and came over! So all in all I had a great birthday!
Now, I am just working, trying to excercise and keeping busy with everything. I miss everyone and hope to hear from you al!!!

Applications submitted
I am finally finished submitting applications for a master's of speech-language pathology that I am applying for. I feel like it has been months in the process of applying. Yet, it is finally finished and now I have to just sit and wait. I have a feeling that April wont come soon enough. I am so anxious to find out if I get in and if I do - where? Life in Vancouver is wonderful. I would love to get in here - I have Ter and a great job that I can continue! But, I will keep everyone updated on the process.
On other news, Ter and I arrived back in Vancouver safely. Our flight ended up being an hour delayed in total between two airports, but we made it home. I started work the next day and Ter has been lazing around, cleaning and organizing. But, he started school today and it went well. I have also started a class today through distance education - human physiology. So far, I have read the first chapter and it is fairly easy. Everything is multiple choice so it can't be that hard "I hope"!
Other then that there is not much that is new. I am sooo happy for Doug and Christina for buying a house - that is amazing!!! Here are a few pictures from over christmas! I will post more later! But, that is all! Bye!

Home for Christmas
So being home for the holidays has actually turned out to be pretty good. At first, I was a little skeptical about coming home. But, I am glad that I am home. Christmas was great! We had some nice gatherings with friends and family, a good christmas dinner and of course presents!
Ter and I are heading back to Vancouver on Jan. 3. But, I thought I would make a list of the things I love just to recall before the new year starts as I did it last year too!
The best things in life:

The Surprises in Vancouver
Ter and I thought that when we moved to Vancouver that the weather would be great. We were prepared for the rain. We were excited about the warmer winter weather (never really gets below zero) and the lack of snow. Well.... we are in for a big surprise!!!!
Starting last week we had a huge rain storm. It was so bad that there were mud slides into the water resevoirs and a boil water advisory was put into affect. It has lasted TEN days and was taken off today at lunch. To add to this was.... a SNOW STORM! It is a crazy amount of snow. An amount that would even be a lot for Regina. My car this morning (it snowed from Saturday evening to Monday morning) had over a foot and half on the roof. The funny thing is that the entire city shut down. UBC, simon fraser uni, and EVERY elementry and secondary school closed. Half of the greater vancouver area is powerless, including UBC and public transit is shut down. I went to work this morning and made it fine. My little car even made it up the fairly large hill with only a little wiggling. But, as I arrived at work, I got stuck. Their road was not plowed yet, but I shoveled myself out later this afternoon. So, I started on my way home and I made it fine. The main roads are cleared, but it is just a SNOW DAY here in Vancouver!!!
So, the weather has been different then we expected! It has been a little crazy!! Here are a few pictures.. starting from Saturday evening to Monday morning.
