Ter and I thought that when we moved to Vancouver that the weather would be great. We were prepared for the rain. We were excited about the warmer winter weather (never really gets below zero) and the lack of snow. Well.... we are in for a big surprise!!!!Starting last week we had a huge rain storm. It was so bad that there were mud slides into the water resevoirs and a boil water advisory was put into affect. It has lasted TEN days and was taken off today at lunch. To add to this was.... a SNOW STORM! It is a crazy amount of snow. An amount that would even be a lot for Regina. My car this morning (it snowed from Saturday evening to Monday morning) had over a foot and half on the roof. The funny thing is that the entire city shut down. UBC, simon fraser uni, and EVERY elementry and secondary school closed. Half of the greater vancouver area is powerless, including UBC and public transit is shut down. I went to work this morning and made it fine. My little car even made it up the fairly large hill with only a little wiggling. But, as I arrived at work, I got stuck. Their road was not plowed yet, but I shoveled myself out later this afternoon. So, I started on my way home and I made it fine. The main roads are cleared, but it is just a SNOW DAY here in Vancouver!!!So, the weather has been different then we expected! It has been a little crazy!! Here are a few pictures.. starting from Saturday evening to Monday morning.

MISS YOU ALL!!!
Vancouver has been pretty good so far. In October, the stress of moving calmed down some. Ter fell into school life really well and I am enjoying my job a lot. Ter is going to scan some pictures of the little guy I work with - just because he is sooo cute.
We went to a Canucks Hockey game with awesome seats. And.. we are hoping that the Riders win the semi-finals so we can watch the west final here in Vancouver!I was home for a bit in October for convocation. I am glad that I went. It was actually really good closure from the U of R. I loved the Campion cermony and brunch. All of the staff at Campion were so nice and gave you a great send off to your future. I got to wear the bright red gown! I also got my grad pictures done when I was down. Thanks to everyone I got to see well I was home. I didn't have very much time, but everyone I saw was awesome. So were the great little kids at Wilfrid Walker- I missed them so much!
So next week I am heading off to Kelowna for a week with the lady I work with. She is visiting family with the kids and asked if I wanted to come along - So I am. And then I get some extra money too! Anyways, we booked are flights home for Christmas. We come home Dec. 19 late at night and leave Jan 3. I hope I see everyone! But, I can't really think of anything else to say... So I hope everyone is good! MISS YOU!
